Lambert is ranked as the 41st busiest airport in North American for aircraft operations, 33rd for passenger totals and 58th for cargo operations by the Airport Council International (ACI) for  2006.

 

Lambert has a 5.1 billion annual economic impact on the St. Louis region.

 

The airport sits on approximately 3970 acres of land.  Approximately 1845 inside fenced area and 2125 acres outside of fenced area.

 

Lambert has 88 gates serving 9 major airlines.  Lambert has 17 commuter airlines, 5 on-site Air Cargo Airlines, and 2 major charter companies that use Lambert on a regular basis.

 

In 2006 there were 272,585 aircraft operations with approximately 694 average daily arrivals and departures with approximately 15,206 million passengers traveling through Lambert.

 

Lambert is owned and operated by the City of St. Louis.  Lambert employs over 15,000 people through airlines, vendors, service companies and the City of St. Louis.  Of the 15,000 people, over 520 are City of St. Louis employees.
